Cloud Nothings, “Attack on Memory” is great and everything, but Pepe Deluxe’s “Queen of the Wave” is great in all of the ways that an album that scratches an itch you didn’t even know existed does is. It’s like the Avalanches, Beck and everybody influenced by surfer rock in the 90s had some sort of electronic baby and it turned into everything I could have ever wanted.
